Argentina : Tours : Fiesta Gaucha

The gauchos used to live in the Pampas, where the productive terrain often reaches a depth of five metres. Its smooth landscape exhibits a monotonous vegetation of small bushes, grass and gramineous. The only tree original from these plains, the Ombu, is in fact a big bush. Traditionally its only use was to provide shade for the tired gauchos that used to drank “mate” at sunset.

Day 1.
Arrival at Ezeiza international airport. Meeting and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, city tour visiting the most interesting places in Buenos Aires city: Plaza de Mayo Square, the Government House, the Cabildo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Mayo Avenue, the Congress Palace, the Colón Theatre, La Boca neighbourhood, Palermo, the Planetarium and La Recoleta with its famous cemetery.

Day 2.
Breakfast. Regular transfer from the hotel to an estancia a few kilometers away from Buenos Aires city in the pampas region where the gaucho traditions are best kept. We will spend a wonderful stay at the countryside getting to know the typical Argentine ranches where agricultural and cattle raising activities are carried out by the gauchos. Typical lunch at the estancia. Day at leisure to relax under the shade of an old tree in the peacefulness of the estancia or take part in the many activities the estancias offer such as horseback riding, sulky rides, walks, etc. At midday we will taste a delicious barbecue with famous Argentine beef after which we will enjoy a show with typical dances and music and then admire the gaucho’s skills on their horses at the cuadreras and ring races. Delicious local homemade pastries will be served as well as “mate”. Return to Buenos Aires. Accommodation.

Day 3.
Breakfast. Regular transfer to the Airport.

Cancellation Policy

Once the reservation has been confirmed by Gotolatin, the following charges will apply for cancellations made by the passenger, according to the program departure date:

• 45 working days before the beginning of the program:
  US$100 per passenger (adult or minor).
• Between 45 and 30 working days before the beginning of the program:
  30% of total program value per passenger.
• Between 30 and 15 working days before the beginning of the program:
  60% of total program value per passenger.
• Between 15 and 0 working days before the beginning of the program: No refund applies.
• There are no refunds for portions of the program not used, hotel accommodations, etc.
• We recommend considering travel insurance for any reason.
